Burlington offers so many wonderful neighbourhoods. The city itself is ideally situated between Toronto and Niagara and is nestled in the Escarpment. The Uptown & Orchard neighbourhoods are located beside one another on the east side of Appleby Line. The area has lots to offer.

The Orchard features it's own walking trails. This is the perfect place to get your daily steps in, take the kids for a walk or exercise your pet dog. How lovely to take a walk in the shade of the trees and have a chance to hear the birds.

Twelve Mile Trail runs to the east of the Orchard near Bronte Creek and is frequented by hikers, trail runners and mountain bikers. This multiuse trail can be used in both directions.

Bronte Creek Provincial Park borders these neighbourhoods to the east. Bronte Creek offers hiking, camping, biking trails, cross-country skiing, showshoeing, tobogganing, interpretive programming including a Maple Syrup festival, Christmas activities, children's play barn & farm, fishing and more. The Park has a leash free dog park, farm animals, historical Spruce Lane Farmhouse offering tours and activities, disc golf, an outdoor pool in the summer and more. The park is home to different events from time to time. It's worth checking their website from time to time.

If you are looking for more places to hike or be close to nature, there are multiple Halton Conservation Areas near by including Crawford Lake, Mount Nemo, and Mountsberg. Not only does Halton Conservation Area offer great spots to hike, picnic, take photos but some offer programming such as an Owl Prowl or learning about raptors (Mountsberg is refuge to some of these injured birds.)

The Orchard and Uptown offer a variety of shops, services and restaurants as well. There are gyms, banks, stores and numerous restaurants including Thai, Mexican, pizza, coffee shops and more. So if you are tired after all your outdoor adventures, you can pick up some of your favourite eats and head on home to put your feet up.

If you already live in Uptown or the Orchard, you know how great it is. If you think you or someone you know might want to live here, we would be happy to help you find that perfect place.
